Hello there, I'm not sure why you are here or if you landed here by mistake, but thanks for stopping by and reading this sentence.

This web-page is a long drawn out version of my résumé. I, being Trever Trent.

My career moves in the all coveted (Arbitron) Radio Market Rankings:

Market Rank #250+ (1993)
Market Rank #182 (1994)
Market Rank #168 (1995)
Market Rank #14 (1996-2007)
Market Rank #17 (2008)
Market Rank #2! (2009-2013)
Sold Jukeboxes Worldwide (2014)
Apple Music Radio Worldwide (2015-current)

With radio side gigs along the way in these Market Rankings:

Market Rank #4 & #27 (1999-2004)
Market Rank #231 (2004-2006)
Market Rank #154 (2003-2006)

Since March of 2015, I've been working "off-air" at APPLE MUSIC's worldwide radio stations in AMR's Content Op's in Culver City California.

I started at Apple Music Radio before the initial launch of the station, when it was known as Beats 1 Radio and before they even had launched their Apple Music streaming service.

Before my job at Apple, from 2009-2012, I rocked the airwaves of 98.7FM (KYSR-FM Los Angeles, #2 Arbitron Radio Market Rank) working weekdays from 10am to 2pm, from 98 7FM's fifth floor studio in Burbank California.

I did a bunch of "live" broadcasting while at 98 7FM. Many of these "live" broadcasts originated from some incredible places. Like from Huntington Beach (during Van's U.S. Open of Surfing), the Long Beach Grand Prix (where I interview Adam Carolla), Santa Monica Pier and from 98 7FM's very own loft at the top of the Hollywood Tower. Here is where many great bands played to a small crowd of people, like: Cage the Elephant, The Kooks, Bush, Garbage, Dirty Heads, all while over looking Downtown Hollywood.

While at 987FM I did do plenty of radio station van runs all over L.A.. I also voiced and did production for a ton of commercials for all the iHeartMedia stations located at 3400 W. Olive Ave in beautiful Burbank California.

In the picture above from 2014: it's myself and Matt Groening (Creator of "The Simpsons") with his very "Futurama" looking 1961 A M I Continental jukebox, which my dad custom converted from Monaural into Stereo, just for Mr. Groening. This is when I was selling jukeboxes at Jukeboxes Unlimited, Los Angeles.

Before moving back to L.A., from the years of 1996-2007 I worked "on-air" at one of the premier Alternative Stations in the U.S., "91X, San Diego" (XETRA-FM Tijuana Mexico San Diego #14 Market Rank in 1996) mostly doing the nights shifts when I was here.

While at 91X, I also did a lot of production work for all the stations in the Clear Channel Communications San Diego cluster. I made so many fucking commercials for "XTRA Sports 6 90" (XETRA-AM Tijuana, Mexico/San Diego #14 Market Rank).

During my 11 year run at 91X, The "91X Trev Quiz" was even featured in the local San Diego newspaper for a few years.

During the same time I was doing a full time shift on 91X, I was also working radio side jobs.

From a San Diego studio I worked at "Channel 104 9" (KCNL-FM Fremont San Jose #27 Market Rank in 1999, this station can also be heard in San Francisco #4 Market Rank). I was one of the first DJ's on this Alternative Station. 6pm to midnight was my shift here from 1999-2004.

I also worked at the same time from the same San Diego studio at "Rock 105.1, TAO" (WTAO-FM Marion Carbondale Illinois #231 Market Rank in 2004) doing 6pm to midnight between the years 2004-2006.

I also worked from a San Diego studio at "The Buzz" (WYNF-FM Macon, Georgia #154 Market Rank in 2003) doing 6pm to midnight from 2003-2006.

In early 2007, I jumped the format ship and moved cross-town to doing Mid-Days from 10am to 2pm at "San Diego's Classic Rock, 101-5 K G B". (KGB-FM San Diego #17 Market Rank in 2007). After working there a year, I got bored playing Classic rock and needed a change in my life. Soon after, I moved to Los Angeles.

But before my leap to the "big-time" in San Diego, and way before L.A., I was living in a 1973 Dodge Excel 20 foot motor home. I lived in this motor home in the beginning of my radio career from 1993-1996 while I worked my way through the airwaves of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and beautiful Barstow California.

I lived in my motor home (pictured above) while working overnights and weekends at "The Central Coast Classic" (KZOZ-FM San Luis Obispo #168 Market Rank in 1995). I worked "on-air" from January 1995 to April 1996. While working here, I actually lived in the parking lot of K Z O Z for a while.

At K Z O Z, my overnight shift was from 11:30pm to 5:30am, then later in 1996ish I also Co-Hosted the K Z O Z Morning Show from 5:30am to 10am. I then would board-op from 11am to 1pm the Jim Rome Show on "XTRA-Sports 12 80" (KKAL-AM Arroyo Grande San Luis Obispo #168 Market Rank).

While at K Z O Z, which was owned by American General Media (A G M), I did a weekend shift as Travis Stone playing smooth jazz at "The Wave" (KWWV-FM 99.7 Morro Bay San Luis Obispo #168 Market Rank). I also produced and voiced commercials for all of A G M's stations in their SLO cluster.

Before working on the Central Coast, I worked in Santa Barbara. That's where I landed my second radio job, from January to September 17th of 1994. I did the weekend overnights from 12am to 6am at "94 Rock" (KCQR-FM Ellwood Santa Barbara #182 Market Rank in 1994). The "South Coast Broadcasting" studios were located off Upper State Street. This job came to an abrupt end when the station suddenly switched to Spanish language.

My very first radio job "on-air" was at "The Burner" (KXXZ-FM Barstow Not in the Top #250+ Market Rank). At this station and only this station, so far, they let me play anything I wanted to play, as long as it "rocked". Sure wish I could go back to that "gem" of a Rock Station in the middle of the High Desert.

Over the entire span of my 30 year radio career not only did I get to see and hear some of the biggest Alternative/ Rock/ Pop & Electronic bands in the world I also got to interview some of them. To name-drop a few:

The Beastie Boys, No Doubt, Bad Religion, The Prodigy, 3 11, Unwritten Law, A.F.I., My Chemical Romance, Cage the Elephant, Ocean Colour Scene, The Offspring and to bring this story full circle jerk, my buddy from my early days of radio at K Z O Z, Chris Muckley and I introduced, "on stage", one of the biggest bands in the world at that time, blink-182. They were playing a packed show at S D S U's Cox Arena in San Diego and I will never forget that night!

Thanks for reading these words. I can't believe you read them all. You rule!
